Fine gauge copperwire is hand woven in the ancient japanese tradition of Kumihimo. The weave is cut and inlaid in resin and seafoam mica powder, then set in hand formed and soldered copper rectangles that hang beautifully from handmade copper earwires. 3/4” long.
The copper frames are treated with a LOS (liver of sulfur) patina that gives the copper a soft, warm color and reduces tarnishing. The resin is jewelry grade resistant to yellowing over time.
