Modern necklace
Fine silver wire is woven in the ancient Japanese tradition of Kumihimo. The weave is cut, formed and soldered onto a fine silver sheet, which is then soldered into ahandmade Argentium silver frame. The pendant is hung on a 24" sterling silver curb chain. The pendant and chain were given an aged patina to bring out the fine detail in the weave.

The weave and frame are Fine Silver (.999). I have applied a LOS (liver of sulfur) patina to give the weave and frame a soft, warm color, that is more resistant to tarnishing.
Caring for woven wire jewelry - always lightly wipe with a polishing cloth. Do not rub as you will risk breaking or pulling the weave.
With a few simple practices, your jewelry should give you many years of beauty and joy.
